Pumpkin Promenade

Come Promenade with us through Pumpkin creations made by your neighbors and City employees. On your walk, you can also enjoy FREE milk or chocolate milk and a FREE DONUT from Banbury Cross (while supplies last), as well as some spooky decorations.
Schedule
- October 20 - 23 (Monday through Thursday) - Pumpkin Pick-Up from 10 am to 6 pm, while supplies last, at the Gale Museum
- Friday, October 24 - Pumpkin Drop-Off from 11 am to 3 pm at Bingham Creek Regional Park
- Friday, October 24, 5 to 8 pm - Pumpkin Promenade at Bingham Creek Regional Park
- Saturday, October 25, 1 to 8 pm - Pumpkin Promenade at Bingham Creek Regional Park
- Complementary pumpkins are only for South Jordan residents who intend to participate in the Pumpkin Promenade contest.
- Pumpkins may be picked up after the event between Saturday, October 25th (after 8 pm) and Monday, October 27th. Any pumpkins left after Monday will be disposed of.
Rules
- All entries must be family-friendly.
- Pumpkins may be carved, painted, or decorated. Additional props may be used (no excessive, or inappropriate props.)
- No purchased or downloaded templates. You may make your own template.
- If they choose, the entrant is responsible for illuminating their own pumpkin with a battery-operated light (no flames).
- South Jordan City is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged pumpkins or props.
- Due to high winds last year, the City will have a limited number of 6" landscaping staples available for participants to use, at their own risk, to help secure pumpkins to straw bales at the event.
- Participants will be allowed to bring wire, landscaping staples, or similar items to help secure pumpkins to the provided bales of straw.
Judging
- Contest judging will begin at 4:00 pm on Friday, October 24th.
- Ribbons for winning pumpkins will be placed on Friday, October 24th, between 7:00 and 8:00 pm.
- Winners will be notified via email on how to pick up their prize the week of October 31st.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to contestants in the following categories:
- Open Category (open to any age group, limited to 1 pumpkin)
- 1st place: $100 Visa gift card
- 2nd place: $50 Visa gift card
- 3rd place: $25 Visa gift card
- People's Choice Award:
- $100 Visa Gift Card
- Each person who promenades (walks) through the pumpkins will be able to vote for one entry in any category.
- (Hint: get your friends and family to come vote for your entry!)
- Group Category(open to any age group, must contain a group of 3 or more cohesive pumpkins)
- 1st place: $100 Visa gift card
- 2nd place: $50 Visa gift card
- 3rd place: $25 Visa gift card
- Kids Category (open to children 11 years of age and younger)
- 1st place: $50 Visa gift card
- 2nd place: $25 Visa gift card
- 3rd place: $10 Menchies gift card
- Teen Category (open to participants 12-17 years of age)
- 1st place: $50 Visa gift card
- 2nd place: $25 Visa gift card
- 3rd place: $10 Menchies gift card
- Senior Category (open to participants 55 and older)
- 1st place: $50 Visa gift card
