This past weekend, the City of South Jordan hosted the groundbreaking ceremony for what will be the first Gold Star Memorial Monument on Salt Lake Valley. CEO of Colonial Flag, Paul Swenson, who attended said the event was very "touching." Mayor Dawn Ramsey and Jennie Taylor, the widow of Major Brent Taylor, spoke at the ceremony.
