[ARCHIVED] Annual Community Survey Results: Residents Remain Optimistic About City’s Direction

Quality of Life Community Survey Results, Ranked 83 out of 100

The City of South Jordan has released the results of its 2024 Community Survey, shedding light on the sentiments and priorities of its residents. The findings show that South Jordan residents are pleased with the quality of life our community offers and optimistic about South Jordan’s future.

One of the standout results from the survey is the high quality of life rating given by South Jordan residents. With an average score of 83 out of 100, South Jordan stands out as one of the highest along the Wasatch Front. This indicates a strong sense of satisfaction and fulfillment among the city's residents.

There is also a notable sense of confidence in the direction the city is heading, with 63% of respondents expressing positivity about the trajectory of South Jordan.

Approval ratings for the mayor and city council have also seen a steady uptick since 2023, with 67% of residents indicating approval or strong approval of their performance. This reflects positively on the leadership and governance within the city.

Additionally, residents perceive increased value for their tax dollars, with more individuals rating city services as "excellent" compared to the previous year. This suggests efficient utilization of resources and a commitment to meeting the needs of the community.

Residents feel particular satisfaction with how the city manages its top priorities, like creating accessible parks, trails, and recreational spaces, ensuring a safe community, facilitating participation in city events, and effective communication with residents.

Residents expressed concern over growth-related issues such as traffic, housing, and transportation. These issues continue to remain significant concerns for both the present and the foreseeable future.

Overall, the 2024 Community Survey underscores South Jordan's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its residents while addressing the challenges associated with growth and development. It reflects a community that is actively engaged and invested in positively shaping its future for future generations.
