South Jordan Arts Council and Sandbox Theater Present "Blithe Spirit"—A Celebration of Community Arts

South Jordan, UT – The South Jordan Arts Council, in partnership with Sandbox Theater, proudly presents Blithe Spirit, a community theater production running on October 25, 26, 28, and November 1 and 2 at 7:00 p.m., with Saturday matinees at 2:00 p.m. This lively comedy offers a delightful evening of entertainment and is a testament to the city’s growing commitment to the arts.

The production is part of South Jordan's broader initiative to enhance quality of life through community arts, enriching the cultural fabric of the city by creating spaces where creativity and connection thrive. Local theater productions like Blithe Spirit provide opportunities for residents to engage with the arts while supporting local talent.

“The arts connect us in ways nothing else can," said South Jordan City Council Member Jason McGuire, Arts Council Liaison. "Theater like Blithe Spirit not only entertains but strengthens the bonds between neighbors while showcasing the creativity in our city."

In addition to supporting local arts, South Jordan is excited about the recently announced plans for the new Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Arts Center. With a $25 million gift from the Miller Family Foundation, this future regional arts center, expected to open in 2028, will further enhance South Jordan's role as a cultural hub. The center will provide a venue for larger performances, visual arts exhibitions, and creative learning opportunities, complementing the ongoing arts programs in the city.

“We are grateful to the Miller Family for their Foundation and their philanthropic donation,” said South Jordan Mayor Dawn R. Ramsey. “We’re grateful to Salt Lake County for their partnership and the opportunity we have to work together to bring a beautiful new cultural arts facility right here to South Jordan.”

Performance Schedule:

  • Evening Shows: October 25, 26, 28, and November 1 and 2 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday Matinees: October 26 and November 2 at 2:00 p.m.
