Here in South Jordan, we are not only growing, we are thriving! Our City continues to rank nationally—rated as Money Geek’s 7th most up-and-coming small city in the nation in 2024. South Jordan is on the leading edge of so many things, and we have much to look forward to in 2025.
We are thrilled with the announcement that Salt Lake County will build their new Performing Arts Center in South Jordan. This project has been in the works for several years and the announcement from our partners at the county mirrors our city council’s commitment to supporting the arts in South Jordan. We will continue our Art on the Towne event and add smaller Art in the Park events in 2025. We will also continue putting on multiple performing arts shows, adding new murals, box wraps, and other public art pieces as we strive to enhance our City. South Jordan is beautiful and is made even more so by the hearts and hands of our extremely talented residents, in the work you create and participate in.
Some of the biggest things coming in 2025 are related to economic development. We are excited about the new urban center and Bees ballpark in South Jordan, which, when complete, will have restaurants, a theater and entertainment complex, places to live, and a TRAX stop to make it accessible. In April, the first games will begin, making South Jordan the new home of the Salt Lake Bees Minor League Baseball team. There are many plans in the works for new and exciting businesses to open in our city and we look forward to cutting several ribbons this year.
Friends, it is an honor to serve as your mayor, and I continue to be excited and encouraged about our future. We are working hard to do the very best for our city, and more than ever, I believe the future is bright in South Jordan!
