This week, we had the privilege of witnessing the Oath of Office ceremony for Mayor Dawn R. Ramsey, Councilmember Jason T. McGuire, and Councilmember Donald J. Shelton. We were especially honored to welcome Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox, who graciously administered the Mayor’s Oath of Office.
The evening centered on a shared vision: ensuring that South Jordan’s future remains bright—today, tomorrow, and for generations to come. Our leaders spoke about the power of service, the importance of helping one another, and the strength that comes from a mayor and city council working together with unity and purpose.
As they begin this new term, their message was clear: when we collaborate, listen, and lead with heart, there is no limit to what we can accomplish for our community. We are grateful for the students at Aspen Elementary School for helping with the Pledge of Allegiance, fifth-grade students from South Jordan Elementary for singing "This is America", and the Bingham High School Madrigals for the National Anthem.
