Shots Fired Investigation
South Jordan Utah - February 22, 2026.
At approximately 6:30 p.m.. officers with the South Jordan Police Department responded to a port of multiple bullet holes in a garage door near 10660 South and 1260 West. Upon arrival. officers confirmed the damage, observed a nearby residence with a broken living room window, and blood on the shutters visible from outside the home. Officers contacted a female at the front door of the residence who appeared intoxicated and had visible injuries.
The male involved however, remained inside the residence despite multiple attempts to get him to exit the home. The South Valley SWAT and Negotiations team were started but canceled due to the male coming out to officers already on scene. He was safely taken into custody and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
Both parties involved were evaluated by paramedics and subsequently released to officers. A shelter-in-place was issued during the active situation and has since been lifted. Currently, there is no threat to the public.
